Includes 'The Blackhall of that Ilk and Barra' (1905), a publication by Morison's grandson, Alexander Blackhall Morison, about his Scottish ancestors; a bound, typescript biography of Morison by his grandson; 'The Genealogy of the Mackenzies' (1843) concerning Morison's ancestors; an obituary of Alexander Blackhall Morison dated 1928; letters to Alexander Morison, his wife Mary Ann, his children and his brother John dated 1798-1856; and other genealogical material. An image file of the letters has been created and is attached to this description. Textbooks and photographs belonging to Albert Henry Chester (hospital nurse 1945-1947)
|

Photographs are of Maudsley exterior and interior. None of the staff or patients in these photographs are identified. Two of the textbooks are inscribed with Chester's Mill Hill Emergency Hospital address and dated April 1945, and four more are inscribed with Chester's Maudsley address and dated April or May 1946. Many of the other titles must have been purchased after Chester left the Maudsley. Chester worked first at Mill Hill Energency Hospital and then at the Maudsley while obtaining his mental nursing qualifications under the tutelage of Annie Altschul from 1945 to 1947. He left the Maudsley upon his appointment at nurse in charge of St John's Hospital Wandsworth's observation unit, and subsequently worked at Atkinson Morley Hospital.
